The Problem

 

The manufacturing area is the responsible for many of the progress that humankind as witnessed.Because of its importance, it is in constant evolution and development and each day more andmore path appear so that the manufacturing area never stops evolving. Having this in mind, therelation between the Internet and the manufacturing was inevitable.

 

The Internet of Things (IoT),in which every object is connected to the Internet, is a obvious evolution and its application to themanufacturing field a revolution in all that we know. To be able to enjoy all its advantages therehas to be a object that relates the Internet of Things with the machines - the Smart Object (SO).The purpose of this dissertation its to study, concept and implement a Smart Object framework,capable of satisfying all the goals presented bellow.
